Just before mile marker 51, take a left turn at the light for 19th Street. There is a Dairy Queen on the north east corner of the intersection and a Shell on the south west corner. Go straight on 19th street. You’ll cross a flat rail road crossing and the Philomath Industrial Park on your left. After 1 mile, the road will curve to the right. You are now on SW Hills Road. Go straight for 1.1 miles. You now have two options.
We have not verified this section of the route- there may be unknown hazards. You can turn right on SW Hills Road and go about 1 mile to the stop sign at 53rd Street. You’ll turn right onto 53rd Street and go .3 miles to the light at route 20/Philomath Blvd. Turn left and you are on 20 east.
This information is verified- Your other option is to follow the main road when it curves left at the junction with SW Hills Road. You’ll go 1.2 miles to the dead end at 53rd Street. BE PREPARED TO MAKE A CAREFUL RIGHT TURN. The right turn puts you under a 13’6″ clearance rail road overpass. It is very narrow, with a support in between the north bound and south bound lanes. A 13’6″ truck will clear this overpass** After the right turn you’ll go .8 miles to the light at route 20/Philomath Blvd. Turn left and you are on route 20 east.
