Parking: Exit 37 has a TA and exit 24 has a Pilot west of the Asheville weigh station. There is a rest area at mile marker 41.5 on I 26 eastbound east of the truck scale.
Alternate Route Information
Take exit 37- this is the exit for the TA truck stop. Turn right (away from the truck stop) and go .1 miles to the light. There is a sign there that says to turn right to get to I 40. DON’T TURN RIGHT. Turn left at the light onto route 19/route 23. After 2.8 miles on route 19/route 23, you’ll come to the ramp for I 40 east bound. When you are on route 19/route 23, you’ll pass a Dollar General store to your right. You’ll pass a Discount Grocery store, J&J Tobacco, a CVS and McDonalds to your left. McDonalds is shortly before the I 40 ramp. Nothing along route 19/route 23 looks like it has truck-friendly parking. - EB

Take exit 44 for route 19/route 23. Turn left off the exit (cross under the freeway and go towards the McDonalds- you will then pass it on your right). You’ll go 3 miles on route 19/route 23 to the light at Georges Branch Road- this will be marked “to I 95.” Turn right and you will be .2 miles from the ramp for I 40 west. This is the exit for the TA truck stop. When you are on route 19/route 23, you will pass a CVS pharmacy, J&J Tobacco and a Discount Grocery on your right. You’ll pass a Dollar General store on your left. Nothing along this route looks like it has truck-friendly parking, however. - WB
