WEIGH STATION

Rate this location:
Highway: I-295 NB
Mile Marker: MM 3.5

Alternate Route Information
We do not recommend taking the route 130 bypass. If you take exit 2 C off I 295 and go west (past the Flying J truck stop on your left). You’ll go to the light at route 130 and turn right. You’ll go up about 3 miles to the light at route 48. On route 130 you’ll pass a Gulf Truck Stop on your right. It has a good-size parking lot. But route 130 also has weigh-in-motion weight sensors in the roadway. The WIM sensors are 3 miles up from the turn onto route 130. There is a Shell gas station on the far left corner of the intersection with route 48 and a Dollar General and Rite Aid on the near left corner of the intersection. You’ll turn right on route 48 (the road just before the light for route 48 would be a better turning road but it is clearly marked “no trucks”) and go about 1.5 miles to the ramp for I 295 north.
If you are coming up I 295 out of Delaware, follow signs for the New Jersey turnpike to avoid this scale. The first exit on the turnpike in New Jersey puts you at the same exit for exit 2C on I 295, so you will have to continue on the turnpike to the second exit which is up at route 322. If you take 322 west you can meet up with I 295 there. If you are at the truck stops, don’t get on I 295. Continue east and follow signs for the New Jersey Turnpike (the signs are green). Keep your eyes peeled, though. It’s very poorly marked.
