Alternate Route Information
There is a legal alternate route and one that is labeled “No vehicles over 16,000 gvw” The right way to bypass this scale is as follows.
Exit I 90 at exit 437 and go north. The road will dead end in .1 mile. Make a right turn onto North frontage road. Cross the RR tracks. This crossing is flat and should be fine for car haulers or other low trailers. You will go 5.3 miles to King Ave West. This is at a stop sign. Follow King Ave for 4.1 miles to Shiloh. Take a right at the light onto Shiloh. Go 1.3 miles and turn left onto Zoo Dr. There is a sign for I 90 at this junction. Follow Zoo for .9 miles and turn left back onto I 90 eastbound. - EB
Alternate Route Information
There is a short route labeled “no vehicles over 16,000 lbs gvw”. There is a not too much longer way where there is no marked weight restriction. The following is the recommended way.
Exit 443 Zoo Drive. Go north (turn right). Go .8 miles to the dead end. Make a right onto Shiloh. Follow Shiloh for .7 miles to the light at King Ave W. Turn left at the light. Follow King for 3.9 miles. Turn Left onto 72nd St West. Go 5.3 miles and this will bring you out on the North frontage road for I 90. Make a left turn and a then turn onto the I 90 west entrance ramp. - WB
