Parking: There is a Flying J Truck Stop and a Love’s Travel Center at exit 3 east of the Shreveport weigh station. There is a rest area in Texas at mile marker 607.5 west of the truck scale.
Alternate Route Information
Take exit 3 and turn left off the end of the ramp. You’ll cross I 20 and go to the light at route 80. At route 80 you can turn left toward the Flying J Truck Stop or right toward the Love’s Truck Stop. Turn right and go past the loves on route 80 west. You will be on route 80 for 5.2 miles. Route 80 will cross over I 20 about 1/4 or 1/2 mile east of the weigh station- out of sight. After 5.2 miles, you will come to Spur 156. This is just east of the town of Waskom. Thru trucks are not allowed in the town of Waskom, so you will want to turn left onto Spur 156. There is a sign there that says “To I 20″ and indicates a left turn. You’ll go down .5 miles to the right turn for the ramp back to I 20 west bound.
