Alternate Route Information
Take exit 41 for Lee Road and turn left over the freeway. Go .7 miles to the dead end at S. Sweetwater Road and turn left. Don’t turn right- turn left. There is an Ace Hardware on your left before the turn and a Napa Auto Parts on your right after the turn. Go through the light at the Shell gas and Douglass City Bank. Go a total of 1.3 miles on Sweetwater to the light at route 78/Bankhead Highway. This is before the railroad tracks. Turn right on Bankhead Highway/route 78. This is a fairly tight right hand turn with a pole on the corner so take it wide. Go 1.2 miles to the light at route 6 (this is a big intersection- route 6 is a 6 lane road) and turn right/south. Take route 6 back to I 20 east (to I 20 is marked at the turn onto route 6). The ramp for I 20 east bound will be 2.7 miles down. It is a right turn over the freeway.
