Locals say there are 4 DOT officers who work the area between exit 287 and exit 293. These are mobile enforcement officer who will pick a truck and pull it over into one of several parking areas for inspection. They generally only do this during daylight hours but they do this all year long. They do not generally use portable scales.

I am going to tow my jeep with an RV and need to know how much it weighs. Could I do that at the Camp Verde weigh station or is there one closer to Mesa az.?
