I was told by a friend how fabulous the chicken and wedges are here. So we drove in from a neighboring town, yeah 20+ miles for chicken.
It is a basic small out of the way convenience store, unassuming and nothing special but hell if they got good chicken....I'm all in !!!
Upon ordering the young man behind the deli counter & also the cook told us HOW long we were to wait for chicken, so I ordered gizzards and she went ahead and ordered dark instead of the white she wanted. We ended up having well over a 25 minute wait but since I decided to get two scoops of their hard ice cream waiting was no problem......until watching her do my second scoop. WTF ? That's two scoops or do you think I am far from entitled? The second scoop had not even filled the scoop half way. Looking at cashier with her smug look I took it saying thank you & smiled.

Sitting in the shade to eat our chicken I open my go box to see my gizzards, or what are supposed to be gizzards. I see discoloration on the chicken which was clearly visible due to cooking so long the breading was completely off and what was left of the gizzards a shattering crunch to my gums and teeth. I like gizzards and have ate them multiple times. This was by far the worst I have ever had. I finished my fries and on the way out of there I took them back into the store to the ice cream natzi aka cashier. I showed and let her know how bad they were not for a refund or replacement but for this cook to know & not make the mistake again. Not even a I'm sorry about that, have a nice day or even a kiss my ass.
Yeah, maybe bypass this little jewel and drive into Cherokee to get decent gizzards. POSTED 06-28-2020
