WEIGH STATION

Parking: There is a TA truck stop at exit 260 in Earle west of the West Memphis scale. There is a Pilot truck stop, Petro and Flying J truck stop at exit 280 on I 40 (exit 4 on I 55 south) east of the weigh station.
Alternate Route Information
Take exit 271 and follow the frontage road (route 79/route 70). You will keep going all the way to route 118- I 40 will veer off to the north shortly before the weigh station, so you will not cross directly behind the truck scale. Turn left on route 118- there is a Schneider terminal right before the ramp back onto I 40 east (or you can run the frontage road east and you will be at the exit for the Wal-Mart).
If you’ll be heading north on I 55, another option is to take exit 271 off I 40 for route 147. Turn left/north (instead of following the frontage road) and go for 4.7 miles up to route 64. There should be a field to your right with some shetland ponies in it at the intersection. Route 64 is a major state route so it is well marked. Turn right onto route 64 and go 5.5 miles to I 55 north. Don’t go south or you’ll be headed directly to the south bound I 55 W. Memphis scale with no where to exit.
IT IS MARKED AS BEING EAST OF ROUTE 118 BUT IT IS ACTUALLY WEST OF ROUTE 118.
This weigh station is marked on the trucker’s atlas as being east of route 118 but it is actually west of route 118. If you come in to I 40 at route 118 you are still east of the weigh station and can head in to the West Memphis truck stops without passing it.
