today (Oct. 17, 2018), at approx 1000am for a couple of lottery tickets. I was on my way to our local VA. First off, the only lady I saw working the counter decided to take her time to be attentive. So, I asked if the Mega lottery was $3 total for each with the extra play. I dont play often so I wasn't sure. She answered yes, "I'll be with you shortly." So, patiently as I had extra time, she finally asks me how many and I told her two Mega tickets and while she was at the lotto machine, I asked for one Powerball. Then says that she just printed out two Powerball tix. I reiterated to her that I had asked for two Megaballs and one Poweball. From there she adamantly argued that was not what she heard me say. As long as I could politely get her to understand that was not what I said, she continued to argue with me. Three or four times! I understand everyone has a bad day or doesn't want to be at work sometimes, or alot. But, her bad attitude and eyeball rolling along with arguing that I said I wanted two of tonights tix really made me mad. I wasn't as nice finally when I stated the aforementioned two Mega and one Powerball. Instead of just admitting she may have misunderstood me and ask me again what I asked for, she created unnecessary hostility towards me. I was very upset by this whole thing. So, then she told me she didn't have to sell me any tickets and I stormed off letting her know good,then no money for the store in the odd chance I win. This lady wore glasses and was African American. Description provided only because I was not able to get her name and in case someone one else was working the counter that was not there at the time.
